Discover how to find peace and trust in the Lord despite fears and worries. Just like the resilient Phlox flower, choose to bloom and flourish!

This lovely lavender flower called a Phlox decided to bloom in a most unusual place... the middle of the driveway. The seed fell on the soil and grew despite its tenuous location and just dares the incoming traffic, feet or cars to find their way around.

Flower in Driveway

You’d suspect that the one who wrote Psalm 139 had high thoughts of himself yet the author, King David, was the youngest unrecognized child of a man named Jesse. David was doing the job of a lowly shepherd and least likely to be chosen king. He was not a flower in a prepared garden but instead, he was like this Phlox whose purpose was to challenge the established way. David bloomed because he was a “man after God’s own heart” and his confidence was in his God, not himself. Though he sinned and fell, he humbled himself and at the end of the psalm he wrote, ”Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.“ Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭23‬-‭24‬

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” 1 John 3:1

John 16:33 extends to us a promise for these days that will help us to persevere and flourish despite the fact that our circumstances are full of challenges.

"I have told you about these things so that you can have peace in me. In the world you will have affliction; but trust, I have conquered the world" John 16:33

Just as He did with David, God calls us to have PEACE and TRUST. Be not afraid for He has defeated the world.

WE WILL BLOOM !! Amen Amen
