"The Symbolic Connection Between Dragonflies and Humans: Exploring the Theme of Change and Transformation"

There are many myths surrounding the dragonfly and it can symbolize various things to different cultures. The most common theme seems to be that of change, healing and transformation. The dragonfly spends 2 years as a nymph living on the pond and then transforms into the amazing mature flying stage for 6 to 9 month in which time, it finds a mate and a new cycle of life starts. It can fly in all directions up to 30 mph or hover over a spot while observing its multicolored landscape with compound eyes.

Isaiah 11 is a prophecy of Jesus, “the Rod from the root of Jesse (David’s father). Like the dragonfly, Jesus, filled with the Spirit of wisdom, understanding, counsel, strength, and knowledge, becomes the symbol of healing and transformation as He judges with righteous judgment those who are humble before him. God does not look at the outside appearance but judges the motives of the heart. Pro16:1-3

He will “decide with equity for the meek of the earth.” Who are the meek? Those who humbly submit to God and in so doing, have a confident, controlled strength outside of their own being.

Jesus said, “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” Matthew 5:5

Equity means all have the same opportunity to transform their minds and hearts from the same starting point. So “…that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.“ ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭45‬

The starting point for mankind is stated in Romans. “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God …ALL  have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:10-11, 23

Yet, “The Lord does not delay his promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but ALL to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, ALL are offered the the opportunity to transform into an amazing new creation.

”For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, (or any human distinction) for the same Lord over all is rich to ALL who call upon Him. For “WHOEVER calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭10‬-‭13‬

Jeremiah 17:7, “blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

”In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His might.“ Eph‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬

In this world’s economy, equality and equity become a never ending power struggle that destroys peace. But In God’s economy, “Out of his fullness we have ALL received grace in place of grace already given. GRACE UPON GRACE.

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” John 1:16-17 And “He Himself  is our peace,” Ephesians 2:14
