From a distance, this field of pink flowers is like looking out into a congregation which are all part of God’s creation. But when I zoomed in, I found this one bloom with a bee enjoying its nectar. God created these flowers to not just adorn the field but to feed His bees so they would spread the sweetness even further.

And so when this verse (Mark 10:45) came up as the verse of the day, I knew God was using His tiny creation to demonstrate His amazing grace and power.
Sometimes it is easy to forget
The reason , Christ, the Messiah came,
We think it is just for our own good
“Be healed, Be saved in His Name”
But Christ, the image of His Father,
Kneeled to wash even Judas’ feet
To show the power of humility
And how pride meets its defeat.
Humility derives from a Latin word
That means originally “earth”
And so one day every knee will bow
While some will graciously experience new birth.
The Son of God came as Son of Man
To serve and not be served
But to give His life as a ransom for us
Something none of us deserved.
So thank you Lord for all the tasks
Of serving others you’ve given to me
So I can be the image of You
Who sacrificed all when you hung on that tree.
“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant and whoever wants to be first must be slave to all. For the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many. “ Mark 10:43-45
